Dream Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering individuals, conducted a self-defense workshop on December 18, 2024,Ahmedabad.
Exclusively for the female staff of Blue Dart, a leading logistics company.
The workshop, held at the Blue Dart premises in Ahmedabad, was led by Mr. Amandeep Singh Gotra, a renowned self-defense expert. The session aimed to prepare the participants with essential self-defense techniques, promoting their safety and confidence.
According to Mr. Omprakash Todawal, Regional HR Head – West 2 of Blue Dart, “We celebrate Safety Week in our industry, focusing on industrial safety. However, we realized that female safety is equally important. Therefore, we organized this workshop, which has been incredibly impactful for our female staff members.”
Mrs. Birva Mehta, Programme Incharge of Dream Foundation, emphasized, “It is essential for every girl, whether corporate or non-corporate, working lady or housewife, have to learn self-defense techniques. We aim to educate and empower them through our workshops.”
Dream Foundation plans to conduct similar self-defense workshops for school and college girls, as well as the corporate sector, to promote women’s personel safety and empowerment.
