Ahmedabad: Organized by the Veeranjali Samiti and GTPL, ‘Veeranjali’ is a sacred occasion to honour the martyrdom of India’s beloved revolutionaries. For the past 18 years, this program has been a humble effort to strengthen the spirit of patriotism among the youth by remembering the sacrifices of our heroes. As 2026 marks the 150th anniversary of the song ‘Vande Mataram’, a grand celebration titled ‘Veeranjali 2.5’ has been organized once again at Veeranjali Ground, Eklingaji road, Sanand on 23rd March from 8-00 PM.
During this event, Gujarat’s most renowned artists will narrate never-before-heard sagas of bravery through the medium of a traditional Dayro. Iconic performers such as Kirtidan Gadhvi, Mayabhai Ahir, Sairam Dave, Rajbha Gadhvi, and Alpaben Patel will pay their musical tributes to the martyrs. This is India’s only specialized program dedicated to revolutionaries, designed specifically to educate the new generation about the sacrifices of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru, who were hanged on March 23rd.

This year’s celebration will feature several unique attractions beyond the Dayro, including the traditional Mer Raas, a sword dance (Talwar Raas) performed by young women, and the soul-stirring ‘Aarti Veer Jawano Ki’ written by Sairam Dave. Additionally, a spectacular drone show in the sky will serve as a major highlight for the audience.
The Veeranjali Samiti and GTPL have made a humble appeal to the public to join this movement and ensure the message of national pride reaches every citizen.
