Ahmedabad : The Gujarat Pediatric Critical Care Chapter, in collaboration with AOP Gujarat, AOP Ahmedabad, and SGVP Holistic Hospital, successfully organized a two-day national conference titled “GUJPEDICRITICON 2.0” in Ahmedabad on March 14 and 15, 2026. This significant medical event focused specifically on the advanced treatment and management of critically ill children. The main proceedings on March 15 at SGVP Holistic Hospital saw the participation of approximately 250 pediatricians from across the country, including various regions of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Delhi, with the presentation of 34 insightful research papers.
The first day of the conference was dedicated to specialized clinical workshops held across three major hospitals in the city. At Apollo Hospital, doctors underwent rigorous training in life-saving ventilator therapy for complex pulmonary diseases. Simultaneously, SGVP Holistic Hospital hosted a pioneering simulation-based training program, marking the first time such a large-scale initiative has been held in Gujarat. This session featured 16 modern simulation stations and specialized ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) training, designed to upgrade doctors’ technical skills and improve real-time emergency responses through high-fidelity medical scenarios. Additionally, KD Hospital hosted a targeted training workshop for nursing staff to enhance their role in critical care.

The successful execution of the conference and its educational objectives were highlighted by a distinguished medical committee. This team included Dr. Jitesh Raval, Dr. Amit Chitaliya, Dr. Vaibhav Patel, Dr. Jay Shah, Dr. Snehal Patel, Dr. Khanjan Shah (Ahmedabad), Dr. Hiren Patel (Deesa), Dr. Krunal Shah (Vapi), Dr. Krutika Tandon (Karamsad), Dr. Himmanshu Tadvi and Dr. Pratik Shah (Surat).
