Ahmedabad: India’s first Gujarati film based on the ‘Digital Arrest’ scam, titled Dharpakad, has become a major talking point across Gujarat due to its unique storyline. The film, starring Mallhar Thakar and Shruhad Goswami, has launched its latest attraction—a powerful title track-style rap song titled ‘Chhalkapat Ni Dharpakad,’ which was officially released today.
Composed in a rap style, the song powerfully depicts the darkness of the world of cybercrime and the helplessness it inflicts upon victims. The song is performed and written by Aryan Sourav, whose sharp lyrics expose the criminals hidden in the digital age. The music is composed by Japji, featuring additional vocals by Japji, The Indian Choral Ensemble, and Pratika.
‘Chhalkapat Ni Dharpakad’ is not merely entertainment but serves as a medium for social awareness. The lyrics weave together the entire process of how people are robbed under the guise of ‘Digital Arrest’ by stealing their data through technology. The beats and music of the song further intensify the crime-thriller atmosphere of the film.
Presented by Indira Motion Pictures and November Films, the movie features Mallhar Thakar, Shruhad Goswami, and Prashant Barot in lead roles. Through this film, director Anish Shah has issued an important warning to every smartphone user: that the internet is a deceptive web.
