Under the dynamic leadership of SEBI, NSE conducted the Regional Investor Seminar for Awareness (RISA) at the M S University, Vadodara, Gujarat

Vadodara, February, 2026: An impactful Investor Seminar for Awareness (RISA) was successfully conducted by NSE, under the leadership of SEBI, at the M S University, Vadodara, Gujarat. The seminar is a significant step toward strengthening financial literacy and investor protection all across India, bringing together regulators, market experts, faculty members, and senior students for engaging in multiple discussions of the financial world. The NSE Investor Awareness Session strengthened the message of informed and responsible investing.

What made this program truly unique was its innovative use of technology. The seminar was live-telecast across multiple classrooms simultaneously, expanding its reach and making it an innovation-led awareness initiative. This ensured a meaningful engagement with faculty members and senior students, enabling wider participation and interactive learning.

 The session focused on critical aspects of investing in the securities market, investor protection and investor rights, and fraud awareness and verification practices. Experts provided practical insights into safe investing processes and the importance of due diligence in financial decision-making.

Addressing the audience, Chief Guest Shri Sandip Pradhan, Whole Time Member, SEBI, said that, “Using SEBI Check and ensuring payments are made through validated UPI apps is critical for safe investments. SEBI maintains a zero-tolerance stance on financial fraud and is committed to safeguarding investor interests for various financial means.”

The program was graced by Shri Vikas Sukhwal, GM & RD-WRO SEBI; Smt. Balakumari, DGM SEBI and Shri Manish Kumar Gupta, AGM SEBI. From NSE, the program was attended and addressed by Shri Avishkar Naik, SVP NSE and Shri Joginder Singh, VP NSE.

Givining the program a new dimension, the students presented a thought-provoking skit on financial fraud awareness while the enthralling Quiz by NSE added strong participative learning elements to the seminar. Notably, through programs like RISA, NSE — under SEBI’s guidance — continues to build financially aware, vigilant and empowered investors across India. The seminar stands as a testament to the collective commitment of regulatory bodies and market institutions to foster a culture of informed, responsible, and secure investing in India
