With total winnings of INR 44.96 lakh and a medal tally of fivethree gold and two silver—Mohit has not only cemented his status among the country’s elite poker minds but also brought immense pride to his home state.

Following his exceptional performance at NPS 2025, Mohit will now represent Gujarat at the National Poker Champion Showdown, scheduled to take place in Goa from April 13 to 17, 2025. NPC will bring together 12 of the country’s best players, each representing their home state, all of whom earned their spots through stellar performances at NPS India 2025.

The stakes are massive, with an INR 1 crore prize pool for the winner and an additional INR 1 crore freeroll for the players of victorious state. Hence, if Mohit wins the NPC Showdown, he will also guarantee free entry for all players of Gujarat in the INR 1 crore freeroll tournament to be hosted on PokerBaazi.

Born and raised in Ahmedabad, Mohit’s path to poker stardom has been anything but ordinary. A graduate from NMIMS, Mumbai, and a CFA Level 2 candidate, he began his career helping out in the family’s textile business and later co-founded a startup. His introduction to poker came during college, but it was during the lockdown that his passion turned into purpose – guided and inspired by a childhood friend who had already made his mark as a pro.
