“I love riding bikes now, I might just own one of my own soon,” says Amandeep Sidhu, after learning to ride for Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan

Learning to ride a bike turned out to be much more than just picking up a new skill for Amandeep Sidhu, who plays Sneha in Zee TVs recently launched show Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan. It became a metaphor for stepping out of her comfort zone and trusting the process. Riding a bike wasn’t a completely new experience for Amandeep, as Mahi in Teri Meri Ikk Jindri, she had driven a heavy bike through Amritsar’s early-morning traffic. But that was limited to a few scenes. This time, the challenge was far greater. With the director urging her to take the wheel herself instead of relying on a stunt double, Amandeep decided to dive in headfirst.

This time, the challenge was different. Having lost touch with riding and racing against tight shoot schedules, Amandeep had just a few days to get it right. True to her on-screen spirit as Sneha, she refused to give up, choosing to perform her own bike scenes for authenticity. With that, Amandeep proves she embodies the same resilience and faith that define her character in the show.

Amandeep Sidhu said, “Riding a bike as Mahi in Teri Meri Ikk Jindri a few years ago, and now as Sneha, have been two completely different experiences, both unforgettable in their own way. At first, everything felt uncertain from getting on the bike to figuring out the gears and maintaining balance. But in the end, I just placed my faith in God and went for it. I can’t say it enough, but I absolutely love riding bikes now. I might even get one of my own soon!”

While Amandeep has seamlessly transformed into Sneha, a young woman who dares to defy conventions and carve her own path, can she hold on to her spirit of freedom, or will life’s circumstances force her to bend to society’s rigid expectations?
