Grand Launch of ‘Navchakra Yojana’ in Gujarat: A New Momentum for Education, Women Empowerment, and Self-Reliance

The ambitious ‘Navchakra Yojana’ was successfully launched in a grand and dignified ceremony held in Ahmedabad. This special launching event was successfully organized by the Singarva Gram Panchayat and its Sarpanch Ankitsingh Chauhan and his mother Sitaben Chauhan. The program was held with the core mottos of “Speed to Dreams, Direction to Future” and “One Bicycle, Millions of Dreams.” During the event, the keynote speaker and Sarpanch, Ankitsinh Chauhan, highlighted the primary goal of the scheme, stating that its main objective is to empower village women with employment opportunities and encourage government school students by distributing bicycles to them.

The primary vision of this scheme is to give wings to the dreams of millions of children through bicycles and to instill self-confidence in daughters, thereby realizing the resolve of “Education for Every Child” and “Respect for Every Daughter.” ‘Navchakra Yojana’ is not merely a bicycle distribution program, but a mega-campaign to bring progress and dignity to the last mile of society, aiming for “Opportunity for Every Youth” and “Progress for Every Household.” Core pillars have been established for the smooth implementation and widespread impact of this scheme. Under the education pillar, recognizing quality education as every child’s fundamental right, bicycles will make commuting to school easier for government school students. Concurrently, through women empowerment, employment will be provided to village women, fostering self-reliant women and a strengthened society.

Furthermore, under this initiative, new opportunities for youth employment will be created through bicycle manufacturing, local skill development, and training. Driven by the spirit of “Manufacturing in the Nation, Dedication to the Nation,” this will boost local production under ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-Reliant India), strengthening India’s global confidence. The event concluded with the firm belief that “Today’s bicycle will pave the way for a successful life tomorrow.”
